A second-floor apartment in a small 1970s building on one of the streets running back from the Kuzguncuk shore. Kuzguncuk is a low-rise village of painted timber houses, market gardens and a single main street, protected enough that its character has survived the growth around it. This apartment does not have a sea view — the buildings closer to the water take those — but it is a four-minute walk to the shoreline and about the same to the greengrocers, bakery and cafés on the main street. Internally the flat is presented in good order after a light refurbishment: the kitchen and bathroom are modern, the floors have been sanded, and the windows were replaced with double glazing. Two double bedrooms, a living room with a small balcony, and a separate kitchen. There is no lift and no parking, and parking in Kuzguncuk is genuinely difficult. Ferries and the M5 metro at Üsküdar centre are about twelve minutes away by bus along the coast road.
